Veni Vidi Cepi: He Came, He Saw, He Captured.

The Umbrella Travelogues by Vivish George.

Inspiration can be found just about anywhere for Chennai photographer, Vivish George, 52. In a dry leaf, an old bicycle, a mundane street, an interesting face, a shadow, or simply in a brightly coloured umbrella. Whatever the subject, he captures through his lens, a side of life that would otherwise have gone unnoticed.

What was once merely a hobby turned to passion once his children grew up and flew the nest. A man of quick wit, adventure and wanderlust, Vivish is now a full-time photographer. To evoke a world of petrichor, pakoras and paper boats, and perfectly capture the unmistakable romance of the Indian monsoon, featured here is his stunning umbrella series.

If you love monsoons as much as we do, you’ll love the umbrellas at India Circus and the rain-scented essential oil ‘Mitti Attar’ from Kannaujattar.
